Have you ever started your day with all the energy and vigor you had as a kid, only to have that energy drained after a long day at the job? The fact of the matter is we all struggle with staying motivated. But in fitness that isn’t a good thing. No motivation equates to poor results.
So how do we stay motivated when we have so much going on in our lives and can’t seem to find the time or energy for much of anything else? We first need to ask ourselves a few questions:

• Have I written down my goals?
• What am I doing to achieve these goals?
• What does my end result look like?

By asking ourselves these questions we can find out what we are shooting for in the first place. Do you want to lose 5 pounds or 50 pounds? What steps are you taking to make sure you’re making progress towards reaching your goals? And if you don’t know when you reached your goal, then how will you know you’ve made it?
But if you have done that and are still having problems, then here are a few tips that should help you recharge yourself and find your inner “beast mode”.

Focus on 1 goal at a time- Sometimes it can be easy to get bogged down by all the “hustle” and “bustle” of life. And that can lead us to an information overload type of mindset. Focusing on one goal will allow you to attack your goal with everything you have, and will allow you to see faster results! And when we see results, we want to produce more results.  And progress is all we really want anyways right?
Know WHO you doing it for- It’s not enough to “why” you are doing something, but knowing “who” you are doing it for is just as important. Doing something for the wrong reasons can lead to disappointing outcomes. When it comes to fitness you should always want to lose weight for yourself. We have to take care of our bodies because it’s the only one we have. Besides ourselves, who else are you doing it for? Do you want to spend more time with active friends? Do you want to have more energy to play with your kids? Those are BIG motivators! Being a father, it’s important for me to keep up with my kids. Kids are a joy and I wouldn’t know what to do if I was unable to keep up with them. Knowing who you are doing it for will help keep you strong with the going gets tough.
Make a Vision Board- Placing images of what your success looks like to you can go along way! Our brains respond well to images, so cutting out images that remind you of your success can help keep you motivated. Look at those images every day. Then close your eyes and imagine how you would look when you reached you goal. How do you feel? Notice your posture and the way you would speak. Make a mental movie that describes your end result. If you can see it clearly in your mind, you can make it happen in the real world.
Make a public commitment- Telling your friends and family that you want to lose weight will force you to be accountable for your actions. No one likes to look like a quitter or someone who procrastinates. Making a public commitment will make you realize that you have to finish the race. People are expecting you to succeed and fail. So why not prove to everyone just what you can do? Let the inner “warrior” in you surface.
Get a support group- Humans are wired to be of assistance to each other. We can’t do everything by ourselves even though we sometimes feel this way. Success is always a team effort. Get people behind you that believe in you and will help push you when you need it and congratulate you when you need it.
Motivation is the lifeblood for fitness. As long as we’re motivated we can shatter any goals we may have! Work hard and don’t forget to celebrate when you reach your success.

Selama ini, para ilmuwan berpikir bahwa hanya sebagian kecil dari populasi manusia memiliki tungau wajah.

Namun, sebuah studi baru yang dipimpin oleh Megan Thoemmes, seorang mahasiswa pascasarjana di biologi di North Carolina State University, menemukan bahwa 100 persen dari 253 orang di atas usia 18 yang dijadikan sampel oleh timnya memiliki DNA tungau di wajah mereka, menunjukkan bahwa tungau ini bisa bersifat universal dan ada di semua wajah manusia dewasa.

Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa wajah manusia merupakan rumah bagi dua spesies yang berbeda dari tungau. Yang pertama adalah Demodex brevis, yang membuat liang ke dalam kelenjar keringat.

Spesies lainnya, Demodex folliculorum, tinggal di folikel-folikel bulu mata, alis dan kulit wajah.

Manusia adalah raksasa super besar yang penuh keringat dan berminyak bagi tungau-tungau ini. Kita memiliki bayak relung-relung di mana organisme dapat hidup dan berkembang. Jaringan gua-gua kulit kita menawarkan makanan dan tempat tinggal untuk dua spesies tungau ini.

Biasanya hanya ada satu tungau brevis per kelenjar sebaceous (kelenjar mikroskopik yang berada tepat di bawah kulit yang mengeluarkan minyak yang disebut sebum), dan 3-6 tungau folliculorum per folikel rambut. Karena Anda memiliki 5 juta folikel rambut, maka ….

Para ilmuwan sudah tahu tentang tungau ini selama lebih dari seratus tahun; mereka pertama kali dijelaskan pada tahun 1842. Mereka benar-benar tidak berbahaya. Namun apa yang tungau ini lakukan dan bagaimana kita mendapatkannya, baru mulai sedikit dipahami.

Jangan khawatir, tungau-tungau ini tidak buang kotoran pada anda. kedua spesies tidak memiliki anus; mereka hanya menyimpan semua kotoran sampai mereka mati. Setelah mereka mati cengkeraman mereka lebih kendor dan mereka dilepaskan ke permukaan kulit Anda; DNA dan limbah mereka bergabung dengan lapisan berminyak, menjaga kelembaban epidermis anda.

Setelah peneliti memiliki informasi genetik tentang tungau, serta informasi geografis tentang tuan rumah mereka, mereka mulai mengetahuitentang betapa terkaitnya kita dengan populasi tungau kita.

Dua spesies tungau yang berbeda bukanlah kerabat dekat, dan tampaknya telah diperoleh dari inang/tuan rumah yang berbeda di masa lalu evolusi kita. D. brevis lebih erat terkait dengan tungau anjing daripada tungau D. folliculorum, mereka berbagi ruang di folike-folike rambut.

Variasi geografis dalam keanekaragaman tungau juga tidak biasa; D. brevis orang di Cina, dengan orang Amerika jauh lebih beragam daripada genetik D. folliculorum. Hal ini juga sesuai dengan biologi dari dua spesies tersebut. Spesies folliculorum yang lebih besar suka berkelompok dan lebih aktif, sehingga mencampur-aduk gen mereka lebih sering. Spesies D. brevis yang lebih kecil, lebih terisolasi, sehingga mutasi dan pergeseran genetik terakumulasi sebagai variasi genetik dalam populasi pori-pori kecilyang terisolasi. Variasi ini juga tampaknya adalah echo sejarah genetik manusia; ketika populasi manusia terbagi dan menyimpang 40.000 tahun yang lalu, begitu pula garis keturunan tungau kita.

Singkatnya, Tungau yang dikumpulkan dari wajah di tempat yang berbeda, dapat dibedakan secara genetik satu sama lain, yang membuat mereka berguna untuk melacak populasi manusia dan migrasi mereka.

Makhluk ini akan menghabiskan siklus hidupnya hanya di dalam folikel rambut termasuk dari lahir hingga mati di wajah anda. Perlu anda tahu juga bahwa makhluk ini sangat takut dengan cahaya oleh karena itu mereka bergerak ketika wajah anda tidak terkena sinar cahaya secara langsung. Pergerekannya pun begitu lamban, yaitu hanya 1 cm per satu jam.

Apakah dengan adanya makhluk ini dapat menimbulkan penyakit? untuk sementara belum ada  bukti yang menunjukan bahwa keberadaan makhluk ini dapat menimbulkan penyakit walaupun ada yang menyebutkan bahwa makhluk ini ada kaitannya dengan penyimpangan kulit. Kebalikan dari itu, dengan adanya 2000 jenis kutu wajah di wajah anda menunjukan bahwa wajah anda sehat.
